Comment:Richter's selection of Shostakovich's Preludes and Fugues was recorded in Prague during 1956, five years after their first performance. The previously unreleased Chopin performances were made in the Rudolfinum during a concert in 1960.

Comment:Famed Czech oboeist, Frantisek Hantak, joined the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra in 1932 at the invitation of Vaclav Talich. Hantak also played with the Czech Nonet, Czech Philharmonic Wind Quintet and Ars rediviva.
