Eastern European and World Cinema

Time was, in London at least,  when you could choose from any number of foreign language subtitled films being shown in specialist cinemas.  Amongst the most popular of these were always the films from Eastern Europe.  They offered wonderful insights into the history of the countries, and lives of people from behind the, the, Iron Curtain. 

Second Run is a DVD label specialising in restoring these great films, which date from the 1950s through to the 1970s.  To which are added a selection from the growing number of films from around the World.
