Ivo Kahanek

A graduate of the Janacek Conservatory in Ostrava and the Prague Academy of Performing Arts, Ivo Kahanek is a multi-prizewinner of several international piano competitions.  Among the most highly regarded of these is the Prague Spring International of 2004, which he won ahead of more than 45 contestants.  Now at the start of his performing career, Ivo Kahanek has appeared across Europe, and in August 2007 made his London debut at the BBC Proms in the Royal Albert Hall playing Martinu's 4th Piano Concerto "Incantation" with the BBC Symphony Orchestra conducted by Jiri Belohlavek.
